New Build Planning Drawings
Drawings for a new building must be submitted showing the floor area and layouts, the use of the rooms and an elevation. They must give details of the materials that you intend to use and clearly show the dimensions and heights of the building.

TT Top Tip
Pay extra attention to any height restrictions that enforced by a planning decision. Always inform your designer at the earliest stage of any restrictions in place and make sure you check any drawings thoroughly before you sign them off. Not doing so could be very costly later on.

Extension Planning Drawings
Extending your home is a great way to get extra space without having to move. There are particular regulations around planning for extensions to help keep everyone involved happy. Once you have the planning drawings for your new extension we recommend that you take these to your Local Planning Authority and ‘test the water’. They will soon let you know if they think your planned extension is too big.
Do I need anything other than Planning Drawings?
You will need to supply a whole range of other planning documents to support your application. These include a sitemap, layout drawings – showing access points and your proposed building and a design & access statement. (Please bear in mind that there may be other documents that your Local Authority will require)
